STANDS ABOVE THE REST’ - The history of 'Leeds Display'

In 1973, Cabinet Exports based in Leeds approached William Beckett Plastics in Sheffield to manufacture the first range of 4” & 7”  Classic Stands.  Other sizes and styles of plate display stands were added to the range and were shown at the first ever exhibition at the Spring Fair NEC, in 1976.

Soon afterwards its name was changed to ‘Leeds Giftware’ and stayed the same, until taken over by William Beckett Plastics in 1992 and moved to Sheffield.  It duly underwent a complete rebranding to become ‘LEEDS DISPLAY’, as it is still known today, with the range of display stands and accessories expanded significantly. MOCAP purchased William Beckett Plastics in 2014, along with Leeds Display.

In 2016, Richard Beckett, (the son of the founder of William Beckett Plastics), acquired 'LEEDS DISPLAY' through his own company ‘GEMOLADE LTD'.

With his team in Sheffield, they continue to serve a global market with the most extensive range of display stands produced in Europe, along with the reliable range of wire plate hangers and adhesive disc hangers.
